For those that are interested, I thought I'd add a few words about me. I grew up in a small farming community in the Midwest. From a young age, I worked on my relatives' farms and farms around town. Also, from a young age, I helped my grandmothers with their yards and their flower beds. From this I came to appreciate the beauty and versatility of many flowering plants. At one point, I even worked at a large commercial nursery but that level of production-though educational-was not of long term interest to me.
I've spent many years traveling and always enjoyed the different types of plants that I'd encounter in different parts of the country. We would often take cuttings and grow these, to us, unusual plants in our rv.
With this blog, I'm attempting to combine my love of research and bedding plants into, hopefully, a somewhat enjoyable read for my visitors.
